Kissing & cuddling is the language of love? Is it not? ❤️ But what happens when you kiss your baby? First of all - this is a post about the benefits & not the possible hazards - like don’t kiss your baby when your ill or have cold sores etc🤒 Here are 2 huge benefits of kissing & cuddling your baby 😘👶🏼 Also; dads kissing their babies is equally beneficial ❤️ It improves baby’s immune system. Firstly; if baby is breastfed mama’s body will start producing antibodies to microbes detected on the baby’s skin by kissing - these antigens are then passed into the breastmilk to protect baby🤱🏽 Secondly; baby also get exposed to mama’s microbial environment which helps prime baby’s immune system to function in the environment in which baby lives ❤️ Kissing your infant also helps a lot with bonding & connection. Not only does it help the brain recognise the affection of someone who is “like them” it also prompts an immediate production of the love hormone oxytocin ❤️ There are even MRI scans of the brain showing this 🧠 Some researchers also suggest that it can increase intelligence & social intellect - which is not surprising because kissing is associated with affection as opposed to neglect & stress and the brain does better in a loving environment 🥰 Please share your thoughts in the comments 🙏🏼 Share with someone who might benefit from seeing this 🥰
